Neath's second Food & Drink festival will take place on Saturday 9th October 2010. Connosisseurs from all over South Wales descended on the town to tuck into the tasty delights on offer in Neath Port Talbot.
Organised by Neath Port Talbot Council, The Town Centre Manager, Neath Town Centre Communities First and Neath Town Council in conjunction with Ian and Sian Hindle, of locally based company La Creme Patisserie, the event has well and truly put Neath on the food festival map.
44 traders have signed up for this years event, with stalls lining the pedestrian area throughout Neath town centre. A number of traders from the Victorian Indoor Market selling fruit and vegetables, welsh cakes, laverbread and cockles, sausages, bacon, cheeses and cooked meats, faggots and peas,will be exhibiting.
Other items for sale include local beers and wines, cider and apple juices, cakes and savouries, great taste award winning ice cream,cheese and speciality meat.
Sian Hindle will be demonstrating a full programme of recipes in St.Davids church along with cookery demonstrations from Neath Port Talbot Catering College.
Throughout the day, Bay Radio will broadcast live featuring interviews with many of the traders attending the event and Communities first will be organising lots of fun community events including competitions and healthly lifestyle tips.
